Does Cirrus Data have Access to My Data during Migration?

Does Cirrus Data have access to my data during migration?

No. Cirrus Migrate Cloud is designed with security in mind that it is impossible for any volume data to be sent to Cirrus Data Cloud. By design no one from Cirrus Data will ever have access to your volumes at any stage of the CMC operations.

During local migration, no data will ever leave your host.

During remote migration, data can ONLY be transferred over the secure direct connection between the source and target server. See How to establish host-to-host (H2H) network connections for remote migration? for more about H2H connections.

With Cirrus Data Cloud's project-level Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), you can also precisely control which user has privilege to perform critical actions such as creating migration sessions or setting up H2H connections. See User Role Levels for more details.
